I’m still going to the market in the morng with Mummy but I’m having more difficulties in waking up early…

TUES – Transformers 2 Sneak Preview

Yes. The show that I’ve been raving non-stop about

Can’t believe that stupid Lui guy gave T2 a pathetic HALF STAR in ST’s Life.

NO way it deserves a HALF STAR.

But he apparently has sth against Michael Bay. So let’s just heck him

Met Poppy in town aft his work and I had this really strong craving for Jap Food.

It’s almost inevitable, aft 2 whole weeks of burgers and fries and sub-standard chi food.

So we walked half of Orchard Rd, frm Cineleisure to Wheelock Place for Sake.

SHO CUTE. haha. and Dar is so disgusted by the “pubic hair” looking eyeball that I just had to force him to tk a photo with it.

The poor thing is just an Afro lah.

Yeah! Craving satisfied

Love Sake ONLY because u dun have to wait for ur food. Just sit dwn and start eating off the belt.

Went shopping at Shaw and we ended the trip with great detest for GSS.

The sale was pathetic.

Why cant we have REAL outlet shops??

Then we walked all the way back to cine for our Transformers 2

WED – Buffet with the Relatives

Aunty Irene, uncle and Yang came from M’sia for a visit

Was supposed to have dim sum buffet with Ryan but it’s called off. So I went for buffet with my relatives instead.

Wanted to go to Parkway Thai at Centre Point, but it’s under renovation, so we had  boring Sakura instead.

The Salmon was amazingly fresh… so we just kept eating that

I was far far away from the sushi though… coz I had a ton the night b4.

Wondered whr I got my cam-whoring genes? MUM.

With the cuzzies…

Then we went shopping… combing thru the whole orchard and I only bought 2 things.

A packet of Fizzy Fish and a packet of Percy Pig from Marks & Spencer.

Was trying a Juicy watch and the salesgirl told me to go for the Robinsons Sales the nxt day coz there’s 50% off the watches

THURS – Gathering and Robinsons Expo Sales

Finally I got to meet my Dahling IN FLESH.

Ch and Woei Lin too!!

So super long since I last saw them

Initial plan was at Sun & Moon (dat wld be THREE days of jap fd in a row!!) but ended up at NYDC.

Mmmmm I miss my Dahling so much! Wish we cld spend more time tgt…

Went to Marine Parade with Ch to meet Poppy there.

He went to Salvation Army to donate his pile of old clothes

Had dinner and was abt to go home until we recalled Robinsons Sales!!

Drove by Expo and realised that it only ends at 10pm. 2 more hrs to go

A pair of FCUK white jeans caught my eyes coz I’ve been wanting a white jeans for the longest time..

Didn’t get it in the end coz  it makes my thighs look fat

FRI – FS makan gathering and Wii Session

Supposed to have KBox session but AJ got sorethroat and Kia too

**Seriously, I’m really itching for Kbox seesion… some body pls do sth~!!!**

So we only met up for dinner.

And Lynn suddenly dun feel well and was unable to meet us last min.

*Bad weather these few days coupled with durian season. Everyone’s just not well *

Jia came aft dinner and she got braces!!

She still looks pretty though and busy as ever…

We almost wanted to go watch another rnd of Transformers, but realised that it’s too late to get any tix…

Aft a very long discussion, we finally decided to go to Jia’s house for Wii!!

Flashback – Shape Shoot

Ok b4 that, I managed to get July’s issue of Shape Mag.

I’ve nv bought Shape b4 (it’s freaking $6!!) and I’m only buying for this:

haha, when I showed my mum, she thought I wanted to buy the machine.

It’s only aft I passed her the glasess that she realised it’s me…

Didn’t really show the face coz it was a super last min shoot and the make-up artist was unable to make it.

**Anw I thot my butt looks big in it O_O ahhh!**

Qi Bin msged me on a Monday (last mth, when Poppy’s away in Vietnam) and asked if I cld do her a favor and go for a shoot the nxt day.

I was super free so I agreed.

And I thot it’ll only be easy posing…

Little did I noe… it feels like a freaking workout aft that lah!

U probly can tell from my face, I’m in pain… haha

But it was quite fun la

It was at this plc called Verve Studio at Stamford House.

A quaint little place and very relaxing to be there.

SAT – EXPO Exploration

We noticed a food fair gng on when we went for the Robinsons Sales the day b4.

So we decided to drop by again!

It was quite small-scale so there wasn’t much choice of food

I think we always look the happiest when there’s food

The Kong Ba Bao was a cheater, coz the meat isn’t fat at all Lean Meat Leh!

Mountain Dew POPSICLE!

Popped by Rob sales again and realise that everything is the same.

So we went str to MPH fair.

Oh how nice the smell of paperbacks

We just grabbed wadever book we wan and put it in a box.

Then we sat dwn to sort them out. only then we realized that we have been hold on to 20 over books.

And we spent a bulk of the time looking for a small tiny book that Poppy saw in s’one’s box…

We cant find it anywhr so I told Dar to wait it out while the guy sort out his books.

At 1st we saw him putting the book into his “To Buy” box.

And Dar was sooo disappointed

Aft he walked off to pay, I walked over to the pile of book and saw it sitting there!

And brought it over to Poppy with a triumphant smile

I think we stayed there for close to 4 hrs and spent close to a hundred dollars O_O

But we bought 15 books, so it’s really worth it

By the time we’re out, it’s alrdy eveng…

Met Poppy’s mum for Giant trip aft dat.

The silly bean asked me to remove the flyer from the windscreen ltr and aft 5 mins, he sprayed the washer and turned on the swiper.

Now it’s stuck in the middle of nowhr -_-

Another 2 or 3 hrs at the supermarket and b4 we noe it, it’s night time and we’re hungry again

Had a simple din and rushed hm to do serious work.

Ok, I’m too tired to blog alrdy.

And my Mars Attack this time rnd is really killing me.

I have no freaking idea y I’ve never been in pain b4.

Transformers – robots in disguise.

Cant believe my fav childhood cartoon (which I watch to pass time every eveng while eating dinner during my early pri sch days) is now such a mega film production.

And of the entire theme song, I can only rmb this phrase above (coz they play it like 30 times a day on kids central when they try to sell transformer toy robots).

Anw, I’ve always thot Transformers were damn cool when I was a kid (tgt with TMNT), coz they like to make funny remarks when they fight. Very enjoyable

2 years ago I caught Tranformer on the big screen for the 1st time (tgt with a particular Mr Lim…) and fell in love with the Autobots all over again.

Esp that very attractive looking yellow Camaro

(doesn’t he look so swt??)

2 years ltr, aft much much much anticipation, the sequel is out.

Ok… I dun think I’ll include too much spoiler in the process, and I’m doing this today coz I reckon that MOST ppl have alrdy impatiently went to catch it as soon as it premieres today….

But just in case, I thot I better make it clear 1st: I’m starting my little review now…

(we see this poster outside our hotel in LA EVERYDAY.)

The beginning was a little abrupt (maybe coz we haven really settled dwn when it started), and seemed a little unrelated at 1st…

Then b4 u noe it, u’re in the middle of the action (literally).

Very big, very fast and very loud actions.

But the sound effect (given that it’s of fighting and clashing metals) is pretty nice in my pt of view (which isn’t too much of a pro or techie). It’s loud, but not sharp, screechy or uncomfortably to the ears. Rather, it felt very controlled, very much like an orchestra.

It was a 2.5hrs film but the actions never really stopped for a moment. I was at the edge of my seat (wide-eyed and hugging my legs).

As usual, alot of hilarious moments. Love all the smart-ass things they say to each other

Shia is quite a natural…

And Megan Fox is sizzling hot!! Esp the very 1st scene of her on the…. U guys go check it out urself (u’ll never miss it).

It’s not diff to notice that the producers really put in tons of effort to give every transformer a distinct character of their own.

Every detail of a transformer – the look, voice, camouflage form, attitude, weaknesses, strengths and all, actually joins up really well.

So u actually feel that they are very human-like and can’t help but love them / hate them / feel for them.

And my cute Camaro’s voice is still not working… So he still packs a great deal of laughter when he “speaks”

And and and (mini spoiler alert)…

Bee was sooooo cool when he strip the “skin” off the bones of that disgusting Ravage. Ahhhh!!! Hero…….

This time rnd, the film’s focus was more on human (and the US military) rather than the Transformers… Abit sad

I GUESS maybe it’s also too intensive to add so many Transformers into the film when they only had a 1 yr + period to work on it…

But there were still some new additions to the Transformer family…

And most of them are so super cute….

The Twins, the “Old man”, the “Dirty Little Decepticon” heheh. Very cute.

STILL, I wished there was more focus on the Transformers

And the ending felt like a desperate effort to link bk to the starting… Managed to get the pt of it lah…

Nonetheless, I really think that it’s a great show.

But some of u will probly think that it’s all too over-rated (wadever, I can watch it like 2 more times), given all the suspense of the trailer and the marketing efforts.

Just b4 I left for the show last night, my cousin told me to return and give him a movie review.

And I told him that no matter wad I say, I bet he will still watch it.

Hols at Home.

My 1st uni holidays w/o a job.

A 3 mth hols s’more!

I guess so far I’m coping well (if I manage to ignore the fact that I’m not bringing in any income)

Time passes by real slow these few days…

Esp when I’ve adopted (involuntarily) a habit of waking up early (like 6am).

So instead of lazing ard in bed, I go marketing with mum and have “sumptuous” market breakfast

**Today I had my fav dry prawn mee with ALOT of vinegar, ALOT of prawns and ALOT OF PORK LARD!!! Life is good!**

Marketing with mum is actually fun because she seemed to know every single stall keeper there!!

So the trip to the market is really quite entertaining. Esp when I know Hokkien, so I get all the jokes, haha.

Sun can get abit hot and the weather disgustingly warm when we’re making our way hm ard 9… So it’s always a treat when daddy happens to be passing by and give us a lift home (like today)

I’ve been helping out w household chores too…

Rare, i know.

I sweep, iron, wash and COOK.

Hah.

Yahlah, no big deal…

But we seldom eat at home, so I dun get much chance to prac either…

And I try to kp myself busy with pointless little DIY as well…

Like turning my ugly blue (free) paper holder into glittery silver (not too glittery coz I used cheapo nail polish )

And I’ve started this new habit for my QT

So that it will not just be reading.

But I can actually process His words more and deeper and rmb them longer as I write them down.

And for future referal as well

I used to do that in a lined notepad, but I find it much more exciting to use a blank page coz I can do anything to it w no restriction.

**Yes, u get the pt, I’m findg joy and excitement in ELT (every little thing). Superb…**

And aft like 8 hrs, I look at the clock and realise dat it’s only 2PM!!

I have another half the day to while away~~~

And this comes the most enjoyable part:

Mask + Book + Music.

Then I Youtube, FB, d/l music, play games, and like now, update my blog.

While I’m enjoying this little break, I’ll be pulling out my hair if everyday’s like this for 3 whole mths (luckily I’m already half done).

And I’m posting all these simply because when I’m busy I keep wishing and wishing for a decent break, and now I’m getting one, I really hope to rmb wad it feels like.

Furthermore, I dunno when’s the nxt time I’ll be having one like this…

Coz from today onwards, I’ll actually be having activities OUT OF HOUSE!!

- My relatives from M’sia r coming to visit, I’ll see if I can bring them ard…

- Me and Pops are gng for our 1st movie in a mth, and it’s the movie we’ve been waiting for like the longest time: TRANSFORMERS 2 (sneak preview)

- MIGHT be gng for Dim Sum buffet tmr…

- Mtg Dahling and Chun Hong on thurs (ahhh!! so long since I see them…. esp my dahling dahling dahling )

- Fri is KBOX with FS and dinner aft dat

- Gng back for tuition on Sat

- And church svs on Sun

Actually… I think I sld start on my jogging regime again…

Coz I’ve been indulging in chocs, Reese and durians abit too much these few days

Daddy’s Day 09

Me and mum sneaked out ystday.

But it was not (simply) because we were dead bored at home ok…

It’s becoz we wanted to celebrate daddy’s day with… well, my dad (of coz)…

Since Keith and family are still in BKK (wahlau shopping!!), we decided on a simple little dinner treat for my dad

We went ard amk central to look for a nice plc for dinner b4 my dad knocked off from work.

And he reached AMK Hub just b4 the dinner crowd starts their mad queuing.

Guess which exciting plc we settled for?????? **Glee in excitment**

THAT’s because mum says that they always passes by and see soooooo many ppl queuing and  yet have nv eaten there b4.

So despite 12 days of US food, me and mum sat thru another rnd of it.

And despite my conscious (but non-materializing) efforts to reduce fatty food intakes aft my US trip, I ordered the most sinful thing on the menu. The sausage wrapped in bacon and cheese thing.

We’re all glad that AT LEAST my dad’s F&C tastes resaonable.

And aft the meal, we just sat there staring unbelieveably (and unfathom-ably) at the snaking queue waiting to enter.

Shrugs.

Went on to for dessert at a new dessert place in AMK Hub (to rid the disgusting sausage taste in our mouths).

I’m halfway thru a Cecelia Ahern’s book, Thanks for the Memories.

And I think that besides having amazing plots with unpredictable twists and turns, a good writer is also defined by the way he or she is able to give unique personalities to the diff characters.

I think she had done a great job in this book, given the fact that the story makes the 2 main characters different yet a little entwined at the same time…

Sounds a little complicated, maybe, but it’s a really easy and light-hearted read.

And if u find the author’s name vaguely familiar, yep, she’s the same lady who wrote P.S. I Love You

It definitely has a pretty cover to boot

The Harleys dere are like free lah!!

SOOO many harleys ard and their riders are always fully clad in the most awesome leather attire – Harley style

And 6am in Sg.

I fell aslp in the middle of The Ultimatum, aft unpacking 3 exploding luggages, bathing and a late dinner.

And I woke up ard 3+ in the morning, while my ph shows 4am – Tokyo time.

That makes 6 hrs of slp.

And I have quite enuf of slp alrdy…

Aft 11 hrs on plane from LAX to Narita, 1 night of free lodging at Excel Hotel in Tokyu (flight delay) and 7 hrs on board JAL to Sg…

Not to mention the time I spent sleeping on LONGGGGG bus rides ard the state of CA…

My gosh… I feel like a pig now!

Hate how time always seem to whizz past so quickly when u’re having fun away from hm.

Esp when u’re with the ppl u love.

(Then again we had moments of frustration as well… )

And the weather… oh man… Sg feels like sauna 24-7, coz LA was at aircon temp of ard 17C when we’re there!

Ohhhhh the chilling breeze amidst the warm sun… how I miss it!

And that also means I’ve only worn 1 out of 7 shorts that I brought -_-

The scenery was great… (den again, I’m a nature-deprived Singaporean, ANY natural scenery looks awesome to me).

I wld love to bum ard at the Grand Canyon and Yosemite for a day and slowly let all the amazing elements of nature fill my senses to the brim.

BUT WE ONLY HAD ONE FREAKING HR.

We traveled miles and miles on bus for like 7 hrs and we run ard a small tiny part of the ginormous landscape and take like 20 pathetic pictures, go queue up for the toilet (which takes abt 20 mins) and we’re bk on the road again.

BOO! what a waste

I so admire the families we saw at Yosemite who were staying over at the lodges there and can afford 2 or even 3 days to explore the beautiful place on bicycles. How lovely a weekend retreat…

Shopping was AWESOME if we had alot more time -_-

Like whr can u buy real adidas sneakers for $9.95?

And Aeropostale jeans for $5.99?

And not to mention Coach was at the price of Guess in Sg.

OK, I shall not indulge in dat. Coz I din managed to buy alot

Besides 9.95 Asian Buffets everywhr, food was good

Love it when burgers took half an hr to prepare and they always taste so hot, juicy and yummy. Talk abt grilled to perfection!

U can tell I’m missing that place rite??

Haiz… If I get a chance, I’d love to go there again and have Poppy drive ard the place and plan our own itinerary!!

And now I’m talking to Poppy coz he’s up too haha

I shall not attempt to pack all my post-US thots in a single post at 6am in the morning.
