On the third day of Christmas…

23rd Dec: Xmas w FS

It was a potluck event at AJ’s house, but no gift exchange dis time.

I’m just very happy to be able to meet up with these precious ppl in my life

**We are more happy and excited than we look. really..**

Just dat Kia’s not very impressed by AJ’s skill of squeezing out the wasabi.

YUCKS.

ALOT of food! and as usual, we din even finish like half of it???

And we talked till 2am

Amazing how different our lives are right now… And AJ’s leaving for Sweden on 13th Jan.

Probably half a year w/o any pri sch gathering coz he’s always the one planning

OH NOOOOoooo….

24th Dec: Mani-Pedi

Free mani pedi from mum’s fren so y not yeah…

Rushed off to do last min shopping… zzz mad christmas crowd.

Too many last min shoppers out there.

24th Dec: Christmas with Poppy

Tried to prepare at top speed, but good thing that Poppy had to drive down to office to do some stuff to his tyres and changed car w his mum, so he took another hr to reach my place (past the planned time).

Which is good, coz I JUST finished preparing then.

A place whr we dun have to get stuck in a jam, wait endlessly for carpark or queue 2 hrs to get a seat.

Quaint little French restaurant…

Extremely nice feeling to have Poppy say grace for us and to say Amen tgt

“We serve the meats red in the middle.”

We love it!

Love the food, too many things to say and compliment, but the dessert was below my expectation

So much of a chocolate fan, I hate Blackforest.

And the 72% Choc Mousse tasted like concentrated Black forest.

The lemon tart was very light and tasty, but far from anything special.

Vanilla ice cream was pretty nice though… coz u can even seen the vanilla bits inside…

Gift exchange!

Sth dat Poppy has laid eyes on for a long long time but din get for himself coz he’s saving for new lens…

I really love the box alot coz it’s full of words and really swt words

24th Dec: Church Celebration

Rushed to church aft dinner to join in the celebration…

16 of us wanted to cont celebrating so we ended up looking for movies to watch.

Most places were sold out except for….

TIONG BAHRU PLAZA.

Hah! And my last day was the day b4 lah… How coincidental

And we watched Bodyguards and Assassins. A side story abt Sun’s revolution.

Pretty nice show… Very good cast.

25th Dec: Cookies Baking

Spent Christmas day with Poppy, lazing ard, talking to Poppy, watching Clean House marathon, binging on tidbits, talking abt his new Faith and s’more last min shopping -_-

Then we started to bake cookies for his potluck and it took hours man…

And we realised that sth is wrong w our measuring tools

But the cookies were ok lah, prettier, but not as crunchy as the last time…

And aft Poppy sent me home, we sat down to prepare presents for CHAOS.

Christmas gathering w CHAOS was… as usual… chaotic.

We planned for it to be a double surprise whr we told WX we are celebrating Deon’s bday and told deon we’re celebrating WX’s bday.

Glad that everyone was able to made it although… the plan din go on time

And the WAITER who pretty much spoiled our plan for Deon…

“Oh, u guys got a cake? They have a cake inside too!”

*ARGH*

But it still went pretty much like wad we envisioned it to be

We told u it’s sth dat u wanted

CHAOS’ standard way to eat a bday cake…

The result in NEVER pretty (so is the process)…

Anw we sang from 12 to 6pm and went for dinner whr we had our gift exchange

I had a great time catching up w some lovely people and received alot of nice gifts…

But the greatest gift that I received this year…

Poppy received Christ

I’m sure it’s his greatest gift as well…

And to see so many ppl expressing their joy and excitement when they hear that he is part of the great big family of God

Yeah!

Thank God for coming to Earth for our salvation on that wonderful night 2000 over years ago and giving us the greatest gift on Earth.

Amen…

Proclamation of Faith.

Poppy got baptized today with 40 over other brothers and sisters in Christ

A joyous and special day indeed!

All three choir groups came tgt during worship, and the piano was played by 2 ppl (qianning, it was really nice!! Now I noe why ur hands cramp! haha)

I realised I did not know how to appreciate the meaning and significance of baptism until I went thru his today.

Thank God for giving me a chance to experience it again.

I hope Poppy feels all the sincere love and concern that our brothers and sisters have expressed

We’ve all been praying for this for a very long time…

And Poppy, dun worry abt not getting ur prayers right ok? Take ur time to learn, just make sure u stay consistent

Good News!!

I’M BACK~!!

the mission trip to Mambau, Seramban was amazing.

I know it’ll be a great experience, I just din noe it’ll be dat amazing

Throughout this entire trip, I felt God’s blessings in great abundance.

And I felt sooooo mmuch love…

Love from God

Love from the brothers and sisters in the mission trip

Love from the ppl in Mambau

and Love from Poppy.

While we brought GOOD NEWS to the ppl in Mambau,

I brought GOOD NEWS back as well

**I wanted to share this w u guys tmr, but I simply can’t wait!!**

Poppy received Christ on 18th Dec 09, 11.50am in Seramban

I almost cried when he ask me to turn to the page of Sinner’s Prayer and do it w him…

It was the moment I’ve been dreaming and praying abt for 2 years…

He’ll be having his baptism tmr in church

Ahhh~!!

I’m still busking in the joy of it

**Twirls ard and smiles to myself**

It really shows me God’s amazing power… And I can’t find the right words to express exactly how happy I am right now..

Really really thank God for his amazing work

And many thanks to those who have been praying for him and really concern abt him.

And to Jia Jun and Cheng Chang who spoke to him during the trip and helped to resolve some of the struggles that he had…

It’s great to see how Poppy has bonded w the guys during the trip and how involved he was in the entire process…

And I did the Sinner’s prayer w another girl from Mambau at the Christmas celebration.

It’s really great that we have the chance to bring God’s salvation to the ppl there and I hope that they have the opportunity to cont growing in their r/s w God…

I really have alot of thoughts and emotions about the mission trip, but I noe I cant express them well enuf thru words.

I just hope I can savor them for the time when I can still rmb them in my heart

Spent the day mugging at Poppy’s home.

(not v productive, coz I was blog-shopping, blog hopping, facebooking, sororitylife-ing, pet societying, fashionising and a fraction of the time studying for abnormal )

Poppy’s been watching anime with his new earph so that he will not disturb me…

And he just proved that his earphs’ noise cancellation is super gd.

He cant hear me when I call him… I had to wave, shout and dance ard b4 he noticed me.

But he’s been really sweet the whole day

Especially loves it when he cooks for me.

Hey, don’t think he’s just good at eating ok.. I believe he has quite a talent w cooking as well

He doesn’t really need a recipe to whip up sth fantastic.

Of coz, w his new oven, his food just gets more interesting

We had sautéed vege with bacon bits, roasted whole chicken (freakin shiok) and fresh salad

Hearty hearty dinner

Anw, since I’m blogging, might as well blog abt the sale at Dempsey that we went to a couple of weeks ago.

It’s by Boldlabel, and they sell clothes from US brands like American Eagle, Hollister, Abercombrie, Guess, Bebe, vs, etc and bags form Coach and Kate Spade.

I wasn’t too hopeful coz u noe all these warehs sales always bluff ppl one…

And it’s at dempsey lah, I was thinking not many ppl will be dere.

But hell was I wrong!!

We arrived at 7.30pm, too late for dinner, too early for the event (which starts at 8), so we sat outside at the cafe for a Long Island.

By 7.50pm, there was a snaking queue outside.

At 8pm, the doors opened and the crowd rushed in.

Luckily we got “priority queue”, coz the space was pretty small and many were left standing outside.

I walked one round and found NTH for myself.

Pops was alrdy waving at me with a Ben Sherman top in his hands and mouthing excitedly, “BEN SHERMAN LEH POPPYYY!!”

It  was then when I noticed how many males are there in the room.

A WHOLE LOT!

And all of them were crowding at the table flipping, throwing and digging at polo tees and t-shirts.

Like aunties.

MAN, the sight was hilarious!

Like a bunch of 20sth year-old guys crowding ard a table like auties buying vege in the market.

I wish I had my cam to take down that scene. Wasted

Pops was very happy w his BS top but I asked him, “huh, squeeze until liddat u only buy ONE t-shirt? Buy more lah!”

So we walked to the t-shirt table again and I started picking up polo tees for him.

I think he saw the b4 discount price, so he told me he dun wan, v ex.

Den he looked again.

And he started GRABBING.

I saw a couple of nice tees too. And yess, I started GRABBING as well haha

**I’ll reveal how many we bought at the end of the post, haha. Suspense!**

Aft our glorious victory, we went for dinner.

When we walked out, there were still a crazy long queue waiting to go in.

U guys sld have seen how pops walked with a swagger lor!

I can almost hear him say, “sorry guys, I’ve bought all the nice clothes alrdy, no more left 4 u, HAH.”

Heehee.

We went to Red Dot again coz we din try the food last time.

Aft we cleared our food, we sat nxt to each other and listen to the band serenading love songs as we sing along and sing to each other

Lovely.

Massive jam when we were going home coz there was APEC event.

But all the more time to admire the lovely xmas deco

**Speaking of which, I think the colours and theme this time rnd were super random **

Shared our loots excitedly w mummy when we got home

And she keep saying Poppy’s clothes v nice lor.

Of coz lah, I CHOOSE ONE.

Seriously, I think Pops looks better in Hollister and AE tops den Polo RL. Coz the fit better.

I bought a Burberry top for my mum, Bebe top for CNY (coz its fuchsia pink!), 1 AX top, 1 Guess top and 1 VS top which I dunno y I din include in the pic :\

** Anw the VS top was for $1 coz we spent above $100.. hahaha. Best Buy

And we had a further 20% disc coz we signed up for the event b4 we went.

Yeah. Retail Therapy!!

But I think Pop’s happier, coz he haven’t bought anything since we’re back from US.

Guy’s clothes in Sg are either damn ex or damn cui, so he practically gave up hope abt shopping in Sg.

As for me… Let’s not talk abt it.

Mooncake Festival

That’s what poppy calls it.

All he can think abt is FOOD.

I had to mug for Abnormal this whole day, so we decided to have a simple one at home.

Pops came over in the evening and we had a traditional mooncake-tea-pomelo “dinner”.

Despite all the weight I’m getting from the test and the papersssssss, I felt super light-hearted when Pops came over.

Both of us were in a little crazy mood so we went high on self-timer!

A whole lot more unglam and super random photos which I thot I’ll spare u guys the agony

But it was really fun!!

Poppy we gotta do this again~~ heheh

It took us abt half an hr b4 we started preparing for our mooncake fest proper…

Pops, if u ever need money, u can part-time as Pomelo-Peeler during the mid-autumn season

Tried the Rose tea that Aunty Rosie bought from Africa

And we prayed and settled down to enjoy our little mid-autumn-celebration-for-two ♥

Anw I dislike yolk in my mooncake, so Pops just keep eating the yolk and leaving the lotus parts for me.

At least we din choose ot eat the SIX-YOLKS one right?

And I forgot exactly wad were we laughing abt, but the whole process was as hilarious as the photo-taking.

Romancing the night.

Recess week is here, marking the end of 6 weeks of school this sem.

After handing up our religion paper, both me and pops are just tired beyond words.

BUT we still manage to have a lovely night on Saturday to kickstart our recess week

We decided to go to Bugis coz it’s been so long since we last went there, and Pops wanna bring me to Ma Maison

Very cosy and lovely deco. Feels like being in a kitchen at a cottage

**Sidetrack: my childhood dream is to stay in a cottage like the ones in Enid Blyton’s stories

Our new comfort food is the Cheese Fritters!

Seriously, it makes ppl H.A.P.P.Y~!

The only thing I hate abt eating escargot is getting it with the thongs, so Pops does it for me

Walked ard bugis a little and went over to Liang Seah for dessert.

Super Lot-lucky dat day, managed to get a good spot right in front of Ah Chew w/o too long a wait

Wanted to try the Crystal Jade dessert store, but they already hung out the “closed” sign, so we went next door to join the friggin long queue for Ah Chew.

Poppy added a special treat for me: Mango Ice cream

And I thot we were gng home, I noticed that Pops was taking a very weird route…

And we ended up at the Barrage

We walked up in the cool breezy weather and spent the night talking away….

WORMS?!

Poppy paid USD4.99 for his WORMS game from App Store.

And he’s been sooooo addicted to it!

He plays Worms even when he’s walking up the stairs.

I hope he gets bored of it soon.

Coz I’m bored just watching him play

But since it’s a punishment i dun think it sld be too pretty anw.

The 25th.

Our 25th mth fell on a lovely date – 090909

But sadly, I had tuition in the aftnn and Pops had diving lesson that night, so we couldn’t celebrate on the actual day itself…

Maybe because of that, we kinda over-compensated and made it a 3-day feasting event

DAY 1: Liang Court – Saizeriya

We went for our little Tues-post-religion-tut dat as usual and dis time it’s bk at our fav cheap-&-gd Jap-western restaurant!

No matter how tired we are, food always makes us high…

Broccoli was overcooked But the rest were good!

And the service – AWESOME

We went to Mediya to shop… and saw alot interesting things…

Then I fell aslp in the car on our way bk coz lunch was too heavy zzz…

DAY 2: Mr Bean

On Thurs, we cooped ourselves up in IRC and slogged on our term paper till IRC closes b4 we went for late dinner.

We were supposed to go for Swensen’s icecream buffet in the aftnn, but both of us thot we had too much to do, so we’re leaving that till recess week.

Then we thot of gng to Dempsy for B&J… But we haven’t had a proper dinner…

So I suggested Bean instead.

Coz that place held a special meaning for us Our sweet beginning (that’s wad he likes to call it) more than 2 yrs ago…

Nth ever changes there… still so many cars, so diff to find lot, so cozy, same food, same old brownie

And we made it JUST in time for their set dinner (yeah!)

Initially I was quite turned off by the heap of sauce on the fish.

But it turned out really nice! Coz the fish is really nicely grilled with the right tinge of crispiness

DAY 3: Thai Express @ West Coast

Lunchie lunch on a fri aftnn is rare coz I usu have tuition in the aftnn…

Since it was raining, we decided to have it at WCP coz it’s near and we’ll be fully sheltered

Just to prove that Pops is a greater camwhore than me.

He has 4. I only have 2.

I have to STOP eating curry soft-shell crab everytime I go there…

I made poppy try my fav BIG tee w Hoodie at NIKE

Although the sweatpants made him look a little too comfy

But check out the shoes man! It has a super cool dog-tag on it as well.

I like leh!

And then we went back to sch to cont on the never-ending term paper -_-

yup.
