On the third day of Christmas…

23rd Dec: Xmas w FS

It was a potluck event at AJ’s house, but no gift exchange dis time.

I’m just very happy to be able to meet up with these precious ppl in my life

**We are more happy and excited than we look. really..**

Just dat Kia’s not very impressed by AJ’s skill of squeezing out the wasabi.

YUCKS.

ALOT of food! and as usual, we din even finish like half of it???

And we talked till 2am

Amazing how different our lives are right now… And AJ’s leaving for Sweden on 13th Jan.

Probably half a year w/o any pri sch gathering coz he’s always the one planning

24th Dec: Mani-Pedi

Free mani pedi from mum’s fren so y not yeah…

Rushed off to do last min shopping… zzz mad christmas crowd.

Too many last min shoppers out there.

24th Dec: Christmas with Poppy

Tried to prepare at top speed, but good thing that Poppy had to drive down to office to do some stuff to his tyres and changed car w his mum, so he took another hr to reach my place (past the planned time).

Which is good, coz I JUST finished preparing then.

A place whr we dun have to get stuck in a jam, wait endlessly for carpark or queue 2 hrs to get a seat.

Quaint little French restaurant…

Extremely nice feeling to have Poppy say grace for us and to say Amen tgt

“We serve the meats red in the middle.”

We love it!

Love the food, too many things to say and compliment, but the dessert was below my expectation

So much of a chocolate fan, I hate Blackforest.

And the 72% Choc Mousse tasted like concentrated Black forest.

The lemon tart was very light and tasty, but far from anything special.

Vanilla ice cream was pretty nice though… coz u can even seen the vanilla bits inside…

Sth dat Poppy has laid eyes on for a long long time but din get for himself coz he’s saving for new lens…

24th Dec: Church Celebration

Rushed to church aft dinner to join in the celebration…

16 of us wanted to cont celebrating so we ended up looking for movies to watch.

Most places were sold out except for….

TIONG BAHRU PLAZA.

Hah! And my last day was the day b4 lah… How coincidental

And we watched Bodyguards and Assassins. A side story abt Sun’s revolution.

Pretty nice show… Very good cast.

25th Dec: Cookies Baking

Spent Christmas day with Poppy, lazing ard, talking to Poppy, watching Clean House marathon, binging on tidbits, talking abt his new Faith and s’more last min shopping -_-

Then we started to bake cookies for his potluck and it took hours man…

And we realised that sth is wrong w our measuring tools

But the cookies were ok lah, prettier, but not as crunchy as the last time…

And aft Poppy sent me home, we sat down to prepare presents for CHAOS.

Christmas gathering w CHAOS was… as usual… chaotic.

We planned for it to be a double surprise whr we told WX we are celebrating Deon’s bday and told deon we’re celebrating WX’s bday.

Glad that everyone was able to made it although… the plan din go on time

And the WAITER who pretty much spoiled our plan for Deon…

“Oh, u guys got a cake? They have a cake inside too!”

*ARGH*

But it still went pretty much like wad we envisioned it to be

We told u it’s sth dat u wanted

CHAOS’ standard way to eat a bday cake…

The result in NEVER pretty (so is the process)…

Anw we sang from 12 to 6pm and went for dinner whr we had our gift exchange

I had a great time catching up w some lovely people and received alot of nice gifts…

But the greatest gift that I received this year…

Poppy received Christ

I’m sure it’s his greatest gift as well…

And to see so many ppl expressing their joy and excitement when they hear that he is part of the great big family of God

Yeah!

Thank God for coming to Earth for our salvation on that wonderful night 2000 over years ago and giving us the greatest gift on Earth.

Had a lovely Halloween’s Eve last night with my girls although things did not really went according to plans..

- Extremely heavy rain (coupled with really scary thunders)

- A practically cab-less Haji Lane

- Freaking crowded Clarke Quay

- Mad long queue at Pump Room

Then again, the company was awesome as usual, and we have a great long talk at CCE all the same

Slept till 9am this morning and just b4 I left hm for tuition, my korean kid called to postpone the tuition to tmr morning.

And my mum suddenly say that she’s free for her bday dinner tonight, so I had to call and msg to chop my brothers.

And do research on which hotel to eat at.

In the end, Des decided on Cafe Brio at Grand Corpothorne Waterfront. Although I would much prefer to go Cafe Swiss at Swissotel, but they are fully reserved for tonight zzz.

So I had 3.5 hrs to complete 3 things in my to-do list b4 Pops come to fetch us.

I’m done with 2, just one more.

We booked the tix a couple of weeks ago coz it’s only showing for 2 weeks.

We worked from 1230pm to 1230am, with only a dinner break at 9pm.
We can’t say it was pure solid work, but we did complete wad we had to do.
Most imptly, we had our Potato Chips talk
I can’t wait for our nxt Potato Chips Session!! Nxt time, it will be a “feast” for all 5

Monday eveng was burnt with AYG prac.

No steps to learn anymore, just recap and recap.

But anw, I might not be taking part aft all. Bloody waste my time coz I alrdy told them I’m gng to miss the nxt 2 prac for my US trip, but they needed ppl and told me it’s ok. Now aft 4 pracs, they tell me another story.

Wadever lah, cant be bothered.

Just take it dat I’m making up for the Blast classes that I no longer go.

Anw I get to spend time w Rahm, Sham & Xuan

Tues aftnn was spent helpg Qi Bin with sth really interesting

Met XM at Far East aft she went for her interview.

She ended up buying quite abit of stuf… but nvm lah, coz she got the scholarship!!! haha, worth a little pampering mah

And we had the bubble tea at level 3, which is really the best bubble tea even aft sooo many years!

The pearls taste extremely awesome, esp aft the stupid incident with the Q#(!*#Y woman at Clementi’s Sweetalk the night b4.

I ordered alrdy and she went ahead to mix the stuff. As she’s pouring the bubble tea into the cup she told me, “eh, 没有pearl liao hor.” And still charge me $1.80. “我们的pearl是送的hor,没有也是 $1.80″…

Left for AMK and waited at the stn for XM to collect sth b4 mtg the others at Mac.

Then this old man in office wear and suitcase stopped and stared at us…

He told us he came amk to shop alone coz he din wan to go home…

Seeing that he quite poor thing, we brought him along to our gathering.

Partly coz he offered to treat us to dinner

And even offered to serve us leh

Ok lah, the old man is Eugene

We used to be talking abt bf problems not too long ago… And now, we’re talking abt MARRIAGE and BABIES!!

Damn scary….. but we’re extremely excited for Leng as well

Pray that everything goes beautiful and well for her and Thomas!

Did some research on factory outlets in LA and I still cant decide which one to go, coz we only have 1 free day and travelling time from the htl to any major outlet mall will take at least 2 HOURS!

Oh mans haha, just when I’ve gotten used to him not being ard… And I haven really started having fun leh!

Oh. On a side note, Chaos was talking abt eating disorder last night.

To convince any suspicious ppl out dere (including my grandma), I went online to check out my BMI.

I’m 168cm (yes, I stopped growing since sec 2 dammit) and I weigh 50kg.

That makes my BMI 17.7

Which, is not exactly the healthiest BMI (18.5-24.9 is the healthy range) and I may be considered SLIGHTLY underwt (oh my goodness wad a joke) but I’m def NOT anorexic ok…

Yah, everyone tells me to eat more, but I’m alrdy eating alot!

Not to the pt of gorging myself, yes… But ask XW and he can vouch for the fact that I’ve been eating properly and regularly~~

And I’m a junkie (I can finish a packet of LAYS or RUFFLES big bag by myself, one shot) and a sweet-tooth and I eat pretty fast too.

So dun kp asking me to eat more alrdy k? Coz I usu finish my food (unless they suck).

As I mentioned, I did lose a little bit of wt over the year, and dat may be due to me quitting the supper habits and picking up proper breakie again. And even though I dun really work out, I dance… once in a while lah.

Guess they help abit too.

So just to ensure all the concerned ppl out there:

Anorexia is a mental illness, I noe full well of the ugly and horrible effects it has. I DUN DIET.

Out of curiosity, I checked out Poppy’s BMI, a tiny part of me thinking that he’ll be overwt (oh, the evil… hehehe), but Poppy is actually in the HEALTHY range leh!!

Supposed to meet at 11am, cineleisure’s kbox for Leng’s surprise bday party.

As usual, everyone’s late :p

But the most 经典 has to be Deon lah… “We not meeting at AMK Cineleisure?!!”

“errrr… no leh, dat was the plan… A WEEK AGO -_-”

So me XM and WX went to get wadever we needed (and could find) for the mini celebration and went to Kbox 1st.

Deon managed to reach b4 Leng and everything went pretty well thereafter

Ok, I forgot wad action we were trying to do (me and deon)

Anw, unplanned incident:

We noticed this particular guy keep serving our room. He came in like 5 times in an hr.

Den halfway thru our session, he entered suddenly (again) and asked, “可以跟你们作朋友吗？You know, exchange number or sth?”

**Look at each other thinking: he is so bloody cliche and he is interrupting our precious k-session!!**

“你等一下再回来。”

So he said okok, and left. We looked ard at each other again with a :\ face and cont with the session.

He came back again to collect the bill and asked the qn again. feeling irritated, we just told him we’re all attached.

And he, “oh sorry sorry!”

**XM suggested we sld have given the guy all our bf’s no.!! hahaha**

Den finally, Leng decided to go to the loo. FINALLY, we can spring into action!!

That expresssion suggest that this operation is a SUCCESS already

We luuuurrrrvvveeee the brownies nibblets. Super nice!

**We told Leng THAT guy helped bought the brownies, she sld go thank him…But we looked too suspicious, so dun think she believed us…**

Aft the session, we went to take NEOPRINTS!!

PP Buffalo Wings Attempt!

Parked behind Mac was a… erm… “car convoy” (of sort), raring to go for their Buffalo Wings challenge…

A “staged” accident (I think Dar was really quite worried, coz the driver is Ryan…)

While the drivers (and some calafares) were busy confusing themselves with the route in Seletar Camp…

I went ard snapping at some random things…

You have no idea how devastated and disappointed everyone was…

They had been looking forward to it for 2 weeks, JM was sending us vids of the level30 challenge to get us mentally prepared and we spent an hr getting here and… oh man~!!

(I think only I was in a good mood enuf to be taking pictures… hahahaha)

Anw, we still went to take a look at the place…

The person even bothered to ask us if we came to make a reservation…

That’s 20 hours of term break for me… w/o the presence of any notes of tb…

Met up w Shammy and Bernie shortly aft, at ard 230 for Mac Mugging session…

So glad to have them ard, days are never boring~!!

Chaotic Shoot

Oh yessss~~!!

Aft MONTHS of planning… our chaotic shoot finally happened today

This is a pre-bday surprise especially for Xuemei dearest…

We told her that we’re mtg up bk at our sec sch (PHS) dis morning (as seen in previous Dear CHAOS post)…

We touched up on make-up for some time b4 makin our way dwn to AMK Park coz “the security guard disallowed us to take photos in sch premise”.

At AMK Park (our fav hangout aft Danceworks & 1 of the VERY few parks left w swings), we took a couple of shots w my cam…

Aft trying to diverge her attn w wadever things we can find ard the playgrd to pose w (yes, even the poor saplings), we got ready to give her the 1st “BOO”.

AMAZINGLY, aft touring the playgrd for 20 mins, she ONLY realised the surprise at the end of the slide…

By this time, XM is alrdy wondering why did so many ppl (4 to be exact) with SLRs suddenly popped up and started takin photos of us…….

The 2nd “BOO” was Wai Kei appearing at the playgrd… although he was “supposed to be” having some physio thingy at the hosp…

whaaa… I wished we videoed dwn XM’s rxn when she saw WK… oh manz!! I dunno hw to describe…

There aft, we just left our shoes at the side and went on a shooting spree!!

So we started saying, “aiyah… if only XM has a pink dress………”

And tadangg!! a pink dress appeared in a basket carried in by WK!!

She had NO idea lah!!!

Nth fanciful, just a laid-back-aft-work-over-the-dinner chat with my girls.

Where we leave all that we are busy with to simply indulge and enjoy each other’s company…

And they linked to a whole array of issues like sacrifices, survival, dreams, future, and wad we ultimately want out of life.

It was fun, den it got abit serious and a little depressing at some pt of time…

(Esp when we turn and look at the grp of aunties nxt to our table and one of us blurted out: “how ah? u think 30 yrs dwn we’ll be like dat??)

Passion…

Was sth I’ve discovered tgt w them.

But nw, I dunno if I can afford to kp it alive.

I seemed to have lost so much of it, yet I’m unwilling to let it die off just like dat.

Age…

Is sth that represents the stages of my life.

It determines the roles that I play and the responsibilities I carry.

And even the relationship I have with myself, and with the ppl ard me.

At the age of 21, it’s back to the stage of self-discovery again.

I tot that I’ve done it during my teens, that I’ve pretty much discovered who I am and what I want. But I guess like softwares, we have to keep updating ourselves with the latest versions of ME.

For now, it’s no longer “wad is my fav colour, style, movie, singer, actor…“

The superficials are no longer seen as an “identity”.

Now we seek really to find the deeper identity of ourselves, like wad is truly impt to us and wad kind of life are we looking for.

8 yrs since we’ve known each other. Since our 1st practice tgt, since our 1st “curtain position”, since our 1st applause on stage.

We think we’ve not changed much, but I guess we did.

Values, hopes, dreams, enthusiasm, priorities…

Coz it’s sth I’ll be doing with my girls

Yep, just returned from Sex & the City.

There was dis dilemma on whether to watch it w the girls or catch it w Dar...

But I figured dat me and my girls barely have time to meet up, let alone catch a movie tgt…

It was gr8 to watch w Dar.. Esp on those swt moments, it felt gr8 to be holding his hands (I dunno if he liked the show as much though :p )

I’ve heard some ppl who says Sex & the City is rubbish (mostly men. In fact, all men.) and some swear by it like a life philosophy (mostly women. Makes sense rite).
