Aft PA on thurs, I practically shut down fr any sch wrk.

Poppy picked me up at sch and we went for lunch at Fei Fei, whr he had his fav wanton mee and I had prawn noodles

Great hawker fare is such awesome comfort food.

Although home-cooked porridge w luncheon meat will be so much better…

But we are more than glad to make do, coz we spent the rest of the day walking ard City Plaza and went to Sitex

Pops bought a Sennheiser earph (the bass and noise cancellation are so fantastic I dun think he can hear me talking to him when he’s listening to it )

And I bought a pretty red samsung harddisk

And we went to JL expo sales and spent like > $50 on tidbits and snacks. zzzZZ.

But most of it was spent on chocs for pop’s mum

den we went home for dinner and out again for 2012!!

I finally got to watched it!

Cant imagine missing such an awesome show lah..

Honestly… what would u have done when u know that the apocalypse is coming in 3 day?

Bury-me Weekend.

Just came home aft spending 2 days away.

Not having fun, but working on proj and studying for my quiz on Monday.

Hons year is real madness.

Can’t believe I took 4 lvl 4 mods.

Anw it’s too late to complain now.

Slept at close to 4am last night and I did an amazing thing today.

I went for Psych Assess seminar at freaking 9am!!

(avg attendance for the class is 40% or less and 1/3 of the ppl who went will leave during the break)

But if Poppy din insist in sending me there, I probly wld not have gone

And he had to wake up at 7am just to send me to sch, spent 3 hrs in CL (1 hr playing fish-a-fish with my niece) and accompanied me to buy a mouse aft dat…

I feel so pampered

And I saw S90 at Challenger today and gave it a test.

IN LOVE~!

Half the price of Olympus PEN. And it’s CANON, my most trusted camera brand

And it’s actually v portable, v user-friendly and has a very minimalist, basic-black camera design.

Oh and Jed got back his results alrdy

Above 85% for Eng, And above 90% for both Chi & Maths.

I’m going back for 1 final lesson on Wed to give him his 2nd STAR pres and collect my tuition fee b4 concentrating on my own exams.

Last night was presentation for Adv Abnormal.

One of the most happening proj so far, coz we had so much hilarious fun for the whole 2 weeks that we were working on it

Can’t believe we did wad we did for the presentation, but I’m sure it would not have been possible at all if we were not all that enthu… It was quite an experience I must say

And we had a post- CPG celebration supper aft the 9pm lesson at Chomps.

Had driving on tues morning as well.

It was my 1st Stage 4 assessment.

Guess how many demerit pts I managed to accumulate?

SIXTYTWO.

Yes 62. haha. damn pathetic lah!

And it’s all the tiny nitzy gritty things like SAFETY CHECKS.

My instructor let me pass coz he thinks I can drive.

But he say I might do better if I try out for F1 than go for my TP test.

I guess I shldn’t tk it as a compliment…

I must admit I’m not the safest driver… Coz I used to negotiate sharp turns at gear 3 and u-turn at gear 2.

Which I think we’re not supposed to do if we have an L plate.

But for my  pre-test assessment today, I took great pains to rmb all the things that I need to do and I was busy turning my head from left to right to left to do all my checks.

I passed!!

Below 18 dp. yeah

So now I’ve completed my final Manual lesson, just have to wait for my 1 Auto lesson on monday and I can book for test!!

I seriously hope I can pass my test 1-shot…

So that I can save time, save money and not have to go to WOODLANDS.

Whatever it is, I really think God for answering all my prayers, for good instructors, safe lessons, good timings and smooth progress

As I returned to the circuit during my final lesson today, I saw a car in front of me with hazard lights on as it moves.

And it reminds me of my 1st lesson slightly more than 1 mth ago, when I dun even noe how to engage my gears and move off.

I met my 1st instructor just b4 I left and I told him I’ve completed my course, he was as excited abt it as me haha

Hope I get to meet all my past instructors as I return for my revision lessons

Poppy came to meet me aft that.

In his sch u!! Coz RE had this little farewell sch-uniform day thing.

I din allow him to change out coz although we were both from the same JC, I’ve nv seen him in SR sch U b4

Yeah… then I realise the new U is SO diff from the old one

Not that the old sch U was any nicer, but I still din get to see Pops as he was in his JC days. How sad

This Is It.

Back from MJ’s This Is It.

A good 2 hrs worth of MJ.

All the great behind the scene moments.

So real and yet so far away.

All those familiar tunes, distinct moves, the man himself..

And the concert, the concert of the decade, dat was to be.

If it had happened, I bet it would have been nth but AWESOME.

Because through out the movie we can see MJ requesting nth but perfection from not just the crew, his dancers and his musicians, but also from himself.

But he did so in a very gentle and loving manner.

It’s like if u wanna do sth for him, u will do ur very best not because u’re afraid of him, but because u respect him and do nt want to fall short of his expectations from you.

He’s one of the best, yet he was extremely humble.

He’s the center of attraction, yet he’s always ready to help others shine.

He has almost everything, yet the things he wanted and hoped for were simple things.

Most of all, the clips really lets us see that MJ is BORN to perform.

Every song was sang live, with musicians and vocalists (not CD minus 1), his mic was on every minute, he was moving with every beat.

Yet u nv hear him pant, never out of breath and most of the time, he had his ear plugs out because he wanted to hear the concert like wad the audience will be hearing.

He was all out to give his best.

But as I watched, I felt really sad…

Coz it made wanna watch his actual concert all the more.

But u noe that no matter how much money u pay, no matte whr u go, u can never see it live.

I can only imagine what are the emotions of the ppl he had been working with for the concert when they watch these clips.

Esp his 11 principal dancers.

And he still looks so gorgeous in the Smooth Criminal mv that they made for the show…

It’s really extremely wasted to see that the show did not actualize, it would really have been an amazing experience.

I feel high just by watching these backstage and rehearsal clips.

Was more the real thing?

This Is It. Really worth a watch, MJ fans, pls dun miss it.

If only I have my own car.

And a license.

Then I can wake up 1 hr later.

And reach there in 12 mins.

Or skip all the ERPs and reach there in 20.

And not have to carry my dance shoes, dance clothes, laptop, school bag, while dressed in office attire.

And be sweating like mad.

And reach sch in 10 mins aft dat coz it’s so freaking along the way.

Now I have to take one hr to go there, one hr to get to sch aft dat. Yay.

WTH.

Stop whining and stop sounding like a weakling.

I really shld just be thankful for this opportunity.

Went Rebel on Wed night to celebrate JM’s birthday.

Been more than half a yr since I clubbed.

Was at the verge of falling aslp at the 12am mark, but managed to survive and get high at the dance floor aft 1am.

Music was good towards the end, but the DJ b4 dat was cuter.

Psych Assess PAPER

One Last Paper.

Back to my busy schedule and trying to complete one last term paper for this sem.

What seems like the easiest is actually the toughest

And all the tests and papers have made me delay quite a few readings alrdy… if I dun catch up, I’ll be in deep trouble for the exams -_-

But time to do so seems even more scarce now that Jed’s having his exams soon and I gotta give him an additional 2 hrs each week.

And the preparations for the 2 remaining presentations.

Gosh.

I better whip myself back on track…

Has been perpetually tired for the past week… No early nights seem to have any recuperative effects. Not that I have many of those anw.

Been having 4-5 hrs sleep for the past week and I dun think it’s going to get any better in the recent weeks to come.

Even though driving has been fun and my instructors have been really entertaining, it’s really quite a draining task.

Was so tired on fri dat I almost din go fo bible study.

But so glad we managed to make it there in the end

It was like an instant recharge of energy, a breath of fresh air and an immediate lifting of weariness.

Nth is beyond God’s power Yeah!

We were so happy and uplifted aft BS that we went for an  imprompt movie date

Caught Julie and Julia

A sweet movie, a motivational movie, but mostly a FOODIE MOVIE!

It’s based on 2 true stories.  1 abt Julia Childs, the writer of a French cookbook for Americans, and the other abt Julie, who has never been too persistent on goals that she have set for herself, have not achieved much in her life, but decided to give herself a challenge to try out all 536 recipies in Julia’s book w/in a year, documenting the whole process in her blog.

Well.. It wasn’t an amazing show so-to-speak…  In fact, ppl were leaving near the end of the show and Meryl Streep’s voice gets increasingly irritating as the show goes on for a good 2hr and 3 mins.

BUT I guess both me and Poppy liked it well enough Food! What could be better??

And inspired by the show, Pops cooked this special Italian dish for me today:

Anw I went for a hair cut to trim away the portion of my hair that’s splitting up like nobody’s business.

And now my hair is 3 inches shorter and I accidently got bangs again. zzZZ

I wanted new fringe coz my prev hairstylist cut it too wispy and I want it thick again, so I showed this new stylist a random picture I saw on Cleo and ta-da: BANGS. He says I need to grow it out to see the effects I want.

He even helped me to curl my hair temporarily coz he thot that I’d look good in curls, but washed it off aft my shower So much for his efforts haha

And I got new colour too! Not dat u can see form the picture….

Used the new bubble-foaming dye by Liese.

Not bad!

Quite fool-proof I think… But Pops still helped me to apply

Hair not as smooth as using Somang , and colour not so bright, but colour seemed more even.

Oh man… din seem to do much work today

And I’m feeling ssleepy again zzzZZz.

Maybe I shld slp… Like now…

Aft turning in my paper on fri, I gave myself a break and went reading-less for the weekends

Philippians Post-Mid Autumn Fest

For cell grp activity on fri night, we had a post-autumn celebration at the condo’s bbq area.

We had moon cake, tidbits, green tea and riddles!

But in chinese lah, so abit o_O haaha

And those traditional paper lantern is SO EXPENSIVE!! $1 each!

But kinda nostalgic I must say

finalllyyyyy, a day to dress up a little more and go shopping with popsicle

wanted to go early, but left ard 4pm coz carpark in town can be a killer if not for the per entry in the eveng…

I was feeling a little less lazy dat day so decided to give my hair a curl and hey~ I quite like wad happened! haha

just dat it din stay too long coz I was stringy on styling spray -_-

Went str for early dinner coz initially we had plans for dessert and supper ltr

While having dinner (which was really nice btw), we decided to grab a COUPLE of frens and go WALA~!!

So aft shopping ard Wisma and Taka for a while, we headed to Holland V

But when we got there at 9pm. The whole wala was filled to the brim

No seats!!

And I was on heels!

Dammit.

Luckily we managed to find a seat for me aft like half an hr…

And I think Hoegaarden and Corona are really ladies’ drinks, coz I like!

But Pops’ still stuck w his Erdinger. Which is nice too… just… “thicker”? haha

And our COUPLE OF FRENS arrived late… but I guess everyone had lots of fun yeah?

As usual, Shirlyn and the Uxpected was AWESOME!!

And they added a new violinist to the band!

Damn cool!

And pls dedicate their version of I Will Survive when u go there!

But s’how… I prefer the Thurs crowd… I dunno y :\

Night was still young when we’re done at Wala, so we went to…

Food was great! except for the xiao long bao…

I went home and concussed till 930 b4 leaving for church.

Had CT photo shoot in the aftnn, talked abt Leng’s BIG DAY (ahhhhhh exciting!~!!!!!) and went for dinner with Poppy’s family at The Oasis

Super tired now, but super happy!

And the new week’s bringing new challenges.

Full day of activities tmr, 9am lesson, driving and 4 hrs of tuition.

And forum and reading.

Random-Interesting-Things:

1) A couple of days ago, pops was driving to sch and we saw this new toy on the road!

mm… like a combination b/w motorbike and tricycle…

2) 1st drive out on the road today

So many thinks to take note of. S’one remind me why am I taking manual?

Diff instructor dis time, but the topics we talked abt are still v interesting

Just that I’m alot more distracted this time rnd -_-

4 hrs of driving is no fun. But good exercise for the legs. I guess??

3) I slept ard 4am to complete CT stuff and woke up at 8+ for 4 hrs of driving.

Had tuition w Jed right after and half-way thru we were both zoning out.

So decided to do sth interesting with him this time (and spare both of us the agony of nodding off).

Aft going thru all his work, we spent half an hr reading his fav storybook and the last 15 mins of the session folding paper stars.

How’s dat for random??

4) Mum got stuck in the new lift!!

It’s her 1st time getting stuck in the lift. But she wasn’t panicky at all…

She called and ask me to help her dial the emergency no.

“Faster call leh, here VERY HOT.”

And me and dad went to the lift to laugh at her.

Still in the mood to camwhore…

Anw the new lift sucks, heard that there are many probs w it and it’s only been ard like a mth?

We forbid granny to ever take the new lift w/o any of us ard.

Luckily we stilll have 1 old lift which has not been renovated…

5) Clinical paper due on fri morning.

And I’m still at the research portion.

Dammit.

But I’m really looking forward to TGIF~!!!

Dad drove me to SSDC right aft my seminar and I had lunch in his car.

Too rush man no time.

But I ended up arriving 20 mins early and just when I thot dammit have to wait anxiously in the crowded waiting area, guess who I saw?!

Super random so dun bother guessing.

I met Grace!! Grace Seet!

Like hello how long ago did I last saw her I have NO IDEA.

And we chatted happily (and abt v random things) for the next 15 mins

She just got married lah omg!

And she’s at SSDC to learn bike. *Envy*

So instead of 20 mins, I only spent 5 mins waiting anxiously for my instructor to come to my car.

Preset with 4 descriptive words in my mind: “balding, tummy, sulky, angry”, I looked ard for my potential instructor.

Turned out my instructor meets none of those criteria haha

He was an ex air-steward and was sooo easy to get along we were chatting for the whole 2 hours

He even asked if I ever thot of flying coz he thot I can make it, so I told him honestly,

“Thought of it b4, but I cant swim.”

“Seriously, you just jump into the pool and grab someone to float tgt.”

“oh. TOO LATE!!”

And he was very postitive abt me getting my liscence b4 SSDC shift to Woodlands (which is in Mar).

Seriously, I really dunno.

Brain dead and zoned out for a couple of times.

But Jed got his 1st 30 stars and we’re both v excited! Now I have to find him the eraser that he wanted…

And I just got paid for Tae Young’s lessons

The good thing abt coming home aft a day of hardwork is the awesome fulfillment of not having wasted a single moment of ur time.

The bad thing (which is really bad), is feeling damnbloodyshitty tired.

One happy thing to look forward to: my abnormal seminar is postponed to fri, so me and Poppy can go patuo patuo tmr aft Religion
