The speaker came out onto the stage. He pulled out a one-hundred dollar bill.

“Who would like this one-hundred dollar bill?” he asked.

You may be crumpled and creased but that does not change your value to God any more than what I have done changes the value of this one-hundred dollar bill.  You are still precious and valuable to the God who chose you, redeemed you, and loves you as His own.”

Really thank God for guiding me thru these 3 weeks of mugging, for all the strength, support and energy that He has granted me.

One last paper in 3 hrs’ time and I’m all set for FREEDOM.

Spent the day mugging at Poppy’s home.

(not v productive, coz I was blog-shopping, blog hopping, facebooking, sororitylife-ing, pet societying, fashionising and a fraction of the time studying for abnormal )

Poppy’s been watching anime with his new earph so that he will not disturb me…

And he just proved that his earphs’ noise cancellation is super gd.

He cant hear me when I call him… I had to wave, shout and dance ard b4 he noticed me.

But he’s been really sweet the whole day

Especially loves it when he cooks for me.

Hey, don’t think he’s just good at eating ok.. I believe he has quite a talent w cooking as well

He doesn’t really need a recipe to whip up sth fantastic.

Of coz, w his new oven, his food just gets more interesting

We had sautéed vege with bacon bits, roasted whole chicken (freakin shiok) and fresh salad

Hearty hearty dinner

Anw, since I’m blogging, might as well blog abt the sale at Dempsey that we went to a couple of weeks ago.

It’s by Boldlabel, and they sell clothes from US brands like American Eagle, Hollister, Abercombrie, Guess, Bebe, vs, etc and bags form Coach and Kate Spade.

I wasn’t too hopeful coz u noe all these warehs sales always bluff ppl one…

And it’s at dempsey lah, I was thinking not many ppl will be dere.

But hell was I wrong!!

We arrived at 7.30pm, too late for dinner, too early for the event (which starts at 8), so we sat outside at the cafe for a Long Island.

By 7.50pm, there was a snaking queue outside.

At 8pm, the doors opened and the crowd rushed in.

Luckily we got “priority queue”, coz the space was pretty small and many were left standing outside.

I walked one round and found NTH for myself.

Pops was alrdy waving at me with a Ben Sherman top in his hands and mouthing excitedly, “BEN SHERMAN LEH POPPYYY!!”

It  was then when I noticed how many males are there in the room.

A WHOLE LOT!

And all of them were crowding at the table flipping, throwing and digging at polo tees and t-shirts.

Like aunties.

MAN, the sight was hilarious!

Like a bunch of 20sth year-old guys crowding ard a table like auties buying vege in the market.

I wish I had my cam to take down that scene. Wasted

Pops was very happy w his BS top but I asked him, “huh, squeeze until liddat u only buy ONE t-shirt? Buy more lah!”

So we walked to the t-shirt table again and I started picking up polo tees for him.

I think he saw the b4 discount price, so he told me he dun wan, v ex.

Den he looked again.

And he started GRABBING.

I saw a couple of nice tees too. And yess, I started GRABBING as well haha

**I’ll reveal how many we bought at the end of the post, haha. Suspense!**

Aft our glorious victory, we went for dinner.

When we walked out, there were still a crazy long queue waiting to go in.

U guys sld have seen how pops walked with a swagger lor!

I can almost hear him say, “sorry guys, I’ve bought all the nice clothes alrdy, no more left 4 u, HAH.”

Heehee.

We went to Red Dot again coz we din try the food last time.

**Raw beef anyone?**

Aft we cleared our food, we sat nxt to each other and listen to the band serenading love songs as we sing along and sing to each other

Lovely.

Massive jam when we were going home coz there was APEC event.

But all the more time to admire the lovely xmas deco

**Speaking of which, I think the colours and theme this time rnd were super random **

Shared our loots excitedly w mummy when we got home

And she keep saying Poppy’s clothes v nice lor.

Of coz lah, I CHOOSE ONE.

Seriously, I think Pops looks better in Hollister and AE tops den Polo RL. Coz the fit better.

I bought a Burberry top for my mum, Bebe top for CNY (coz its fuchsia pink!), 1 AX top, 1 Guess top and 1 VS top which I dunno y I din include in the pic :\

** Anw the VS top was for $1 coz we spent above $100.. hahaha. Best Buy

And we had a further 20% disc coz we signed up for the event b4 we went.

Yeah. Retail Therapy!!

But I think Pop’s happier, coz he haven’t bought anything since we’re back from US.

Guy’s clothes in Sg are either damn ex or damn cui, so he practically gave up hope abt shopping in Sg.

As for me… Let’s not talk abt it.

Aft PA on thurs, I practically shut down fr any sch wrk.

Poppy picked me up at sch and we went for lunch at Fei Fei, whr he had his fav wanton mee and I had prawn noodles

Great hawker fare is such awesome comfort food.

Although home-cooked porridge w luncheon meat will be so much better…

But we are more than glad to make do, coz we spent the rest of the day walking ard City Plaza and went to Sitex

Pops bought a Sennheiser earph (the bass and noise cancellation are so fantastic I dun think he can hear me talking to him when he’s listening to it )

And I bought a pretty red samsung harddisk

And we went to JL expo sales and spent like > $50 on tidbits and snacks. zzzZZ.

But most of it was spent on chocs for pop’s mum

den we went home for dinner and out again for 2012!!

I finally got to watched it!

Cant imagine missing such an awesome show lah..

Honestly… what would u have done when u know that the apocalypse is coming in 3 day?

Would u stay with ur family?

Would u try to run away?

Would u sit down and pray?

Would u try to bring more ppl to know God?

Would u stop studying 4 ur last paper?

Hmm…

Poppy’s supposed to be rooting me for my final paper, but he’s snoozing away beside me right now. zzz

Must have been really really tiring aft his 3 conseq days of papers..

I guess I better slp soon and wake up early tmr.. Been unproductive the entire day :X

I’m sure my pom-pom boy will be giving me more support aft a good rest tmr

Haha yeahhhh finally, on my last hols I’m getting an internship Coz there’s no more holiday plans to interrupt my 1 mth break… Which was wad happened during my May break
It’s alright, coz this internship is sth more closely related to the field I wanna explore when I grad
Initial plan was to start on 7th, but I proposed to go in 2 days earlier to make up for my 2 days absence due to mission trip.
So I’ll be startg on 3rd dec, 1 day aft exams.. The awesome thing is… I get to go to work at 2pm on the 1st day (which means I might NOT have to cancel clubbing plan the night b4 )
I was half expecting that I won’t get paid for the internship coz there was no mention of allowance (actually I dun mind coz I really wanted the exp), but turns out they are paying $700/mth
Only draw back is that the internship will probly last only 2-3 weeks coz the counsellor I’ll be attached to is gng on leave aft dat
Whatever it is, I hope that I can gain the experience I’m looking for and hone my relational skills w ppl

Our 4th wife is our body.

No matter how much time and effort we lavish in making it look good, it will leave us when we die.

Our 3rd wife is our possessions, status and wealth.

When we die, it will all go to others.

Our 2nd wife is our family and friends.

No matter how much they have been there for us, the furthest they can stay by us is up to the grave.

And our 1st wife is our Soul.

Often neglected in pursuit of wealth, power and pleasures of the world.

However, our Soul is the only thing that will follow us wherever we go.

There was a controversy over how the video portrayed the autistic community.

It sounded rather derogating and bleak at the start, but I believe it speaks of alot of the challenges that families with an autistic member are going through.

But once it get past the mid-way mark of the video, it sounded so empowering.

The controversy is over whether the video should portray autistic people as “burden” to their family, but I believe what the video truly wants to get across is the idea of love and support that is essential for the well-being and continued development of an autistic individual.
